I had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful mama, Nikki, a few years ago when my baby girl started school. It turned out we had several friends in common and a friendship was immediately formed. I’ve seen Nikki a few times over the years for a few sessions of her own and I was ecstatic when I found out she was having a baby!!!! We immediately started talking about maternity pictures and a newborn session. When she came to my studio a few weeks ago to have these done, she was just glowing. She was up for anything. We talked about ideas for the nursery and their plans for the future. She was beaming and I am so excited for her.

Beautiful Mama and Family | Atlanta Maternity Photographer

Maternity pictures are becoming some of my favorite to photograph. Back in April (I’m playing catch up on my blogs), I photographed this gorgeous maternity session in my studio. I had so much fun with this family since they brought their two year old Kasey. Keysra looks absolutely gorgeous in my maternity gown. I have several available for all of my maternity clients to choose from. At 38 weeks, she did amazing during her session. I typically recommend maternity sessions from 28-34 weeks but she handled it like a champ. I love the simplicity of these shoots. It’s more about capturing the beauty of pregnancy and the bond between the family and the new addition on the way. Baby Jacob was born just a few days after our session. His newborn session will be up on the blog soon.

Boykin Family | McDonough Family Photographer

I had a blast taking these Family pictures tonight. Chloe and Gavin were so good for the entire session, we got to play in the water when we were done and believe me, We needed it. I love photographing families but these hot, humid Georgia nights can be brutal. Luckily, it doesn’t matter what i look like, LOL. It rained on and off on or way down to Indian Springs in Jackson but held off the entire session, Thank goodness.

Now, for the cuteness…..
