I was so excited to get Luna in the studio for her newborn portraits.  I had met her mom, Jennifer, when she had scheduled her older kids for Santa Pictures. Jennifer said that if she ever had another baby she definitely wanted me to do the newborn pictures.  Of course, I told her YES!!!  A few months later I found out that sure enough, they were adding another one to their family.  She has 3 older children and I love their unique names.  Low, Journey, Hawk and now Miss. Luna.

Luna was as adorable as I imagined she would be.  This beautiful, dark headed, little bundle of pure sweetness.  We got started right away on her session and she was an angel.  Settled right in to each pose and even had a sweet smile for me to show off those dimples.  I love getting to use baskets for props. It really shows you how little they truly are.

It tell all of my expectant moms to be sure and book while you are still pregnant.  I know we can’t always know the exact date of their birth, so we start off by basing it off of your due date and then set the final date once your baby is born. Newborn sessions are typically done around 6-10 days old.  This is just the general rule and when newborn tend to be the sleepiest and eating the best.   I only accept a limited number of newborn per month to ensure I can give each one my best and have time to work on editing and perfecting the final piece of art.  Be sure to Contact me via that link in the menu above.

Sweet little Addison came by the studio before we had “Snowcalypse 2014” here in Atlanta, Georgia. She is just as cute as I remember and so much fun to work with.

This is another milestone that I just adore. I’ve usually seen them walking or standing by this age and now to hear them talk, Priceless!!! Their little voice are so cute. I remember my girls at this age and how cute they sounded and the funny things and words they would say. During Addison’s session, she was so intrigued with my white Flokati wool rug. She kept saying, “Look Mom!” over and over and would point at it. She wasn’t sure about it at first, but after we showed her it was soft and nice, she was okay.

At the end of her session we let her play with the stroller. She had a baby and her juice cup in it. Everything a girl should need!!! Chasing her daddy made her laugh and laugh.

I love adding in props at this stage that the little ones can play with. A Stroller, pedal cars, blocks… anything to keep them entertained and happy. Baby Tatum came to visit me for his newborn session in my Hampton Studio when he was 8 days old.  I was introduced to his mom and dad through my husband.  They drove down from Buford, Georgia for his session.  I am so honored they chose me and I was able to capture these precious memories for them.

Tatum did so good during his session.  He slept right through and we only had to stop and feed him once.  His mom loved the owl hat and nest that we use so I made sure to get that set up for her and based on Tatum’s expression, I think he loved it too.

I love being about to show parents what their images will look like hanging on their walls.  With several programs I have, I am able to do a mock up something like this or take an actual picture from your nursery or home and show you different arrangements with different pictures and sizes.  I’m a visual person and it really helps for me to see the finished product.
